Ferga is a fully
qualified, highly trained counsellor /
psychotherapist / psychologist. Over a 25 year period she has been practising in
the NHS in senior posts as a therapist,
supervisor and trainer at Guy's Hospital, Maudsley Hopital, St Thomas's
Hospital and Eastbourne DGH. What qualifications does Ferga
have?
"Between 1984 and 1986, I
undertook a training apprenticeship in both bereavement and alcohol
counselling. Between 1986 and 1992I completed my Diploma in
Counselling. I then undertook a psychotherapy training
apprenticeship (at Guy's Hospital Medical School, UMDS) in Cognitive
Analytical Therapy between 1990 and 1994. I subsequently
studied for two further post-graduate Diplomas, one in Cognitive
Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and one in Pyschosexual and Relationship
issues".
"Between 1999 and 2002 I studied
for a degree in psychology. I am a United
Kingdom Council on Psychotherapy (UKCP) Registered Psychotherapist
and an Accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist
(BABCP)". Also, I am a member of the British Association for
Sexual and Relationship Therapies
(BASRT)".
