Who are
we?
CBT Eastbourne is a private clinical
service for people who are experiencing emotional or psychological problems in their lives. They want
help with how they feel about themselves, with their relationships
and how they can change aspects of their behaviour which may
be causing problems for themselves and others.
What is CBT?
CBT
(Cognitive Behaviour Therapy) addresses how your thoughts affect your
behaviour. CBT allows us to look at a problem in a different
way and avoid the repetitive
patterns of thought which can dominate the
mind and prevent often desparately wanted changes in behaviour. Where a problem appears unsurmountable,
our approach is to break it down into a number of smaller solveable
parts.
What type of
people come to CBT Eastbourne?
Women and men, heterosexual and gay, from 18 – 80, from every
sort of background, every sort of job or profession, married,
cohabiting, single, divorced or separated and from different
counties.
People seek support from CBT Eastbourne because they feel they
have lost their way, they feel disatisfied, they do not feel fulfilled
in their lives. Psychotherapy can provide the time and space to reflect
on how to create a more satisfying, contented way of
living.
